Geography & Wine: Armenia

Price $95 AUD + BF Get tickets

Event description

Our second event in the tasting series Geography & Wine.

Armenia has the earliest archaeological evidence of winemaking. The Areni-1 cave complex has evidence of early winemaking dating back at least 6,000 years. As part of a region that the European grapevine likely originated in, wines from this part of the world have more history to explore than anywhere else on earth.

Armenian importer Ardaches of Hye Kini will join us for a relaxed tasting of 9 wines from Armenia, showcasing the unique indigenous grapes of Armenia, and discussing the country's geography and rich winemaking history.

Maps and a light lunch will be provided.

Space is limited to 18 participants, so book your spot now!
