George Mann (US) + The Go Twos @ Humph Hall
Event description
George Mann sings songs from the last century of labour and social activism in the USA. His own songs are powerful and funny takes on the state of the nation. He has shared stages with Pete Seeger, Utah Phillips and Faith Petric, among others, and his compilations have featured such folk legends as Tom Paxton, Utah Phillips, Billy Bragg and Holly Near. Visit his web site.
The Go Twos - Rosie McDonald & Nigel Lever are both well established in the Folk and festival scene, having played in numerous bands and line ups, apart and together. It is the music they play together that shines with an intimate and heartfelt intensity that shimmers in the ether between performer & listener. Rosie and Nigel draw upon rhythmic and melodic lines to weave a passionate intensity into their sound, all the more so following the past few years and the songs that have emerged following Sydney's lockdowns. Their music is a joyful antidote to current challenging times. Visit their website.
