2026 Georgia Design Awards

GEORGIA DESIGN Magazine and Atlanta Magazine are pleased to present the fifth annual Georgia Design Awards Gala on November 19th, 2026 to be held at The Stave Room. These awards are unique to the design/build industry — bringing together all segments of the in interior design, architecture, construction and landscape communities, across residential and commercial, in order to showcase the best work and brightest talent across the state of Georgia. The program is also the first to involve both trade and consumers. Leveraging the full audiences of both our magazines, along with the extensive reach of AtlantaMagazine.com, the winning designs will be celebrated on the evening of the Gala and will be showcased in the Winter Awards issue of GEORGIA DESIGN Magazine. The Georgia Design Awards spans the categories of architecture, interior design, homebuilding, remodeling, and landscape design—both residential and commercial. Winning entries span over 60 categories and the firms representing these entries are based in Georgia and represent projects ranging from a single room or product installation to an entire home or public space.  

Georgia Design Lifetime Achievement Award 

Continuing this annual tradition, we are pleased to announce Bobby McAlpine as the 2026 recipient of the Georgia Design Lifetime Achievement Award.  Born in an Alabama sawmill town, Bobby designed his first house at the age of five—and hasn’t stopped since. Architect, romantic, poet and entrepreneur, he envisions home as a timeless, graceful, and emotionally evocative place. From the time he founded the firm in 1983, he has realized this ideal in a diverse array of traditional styles and regional vernaculars for clients all over the country. Today, known as McALPINE, the firm now embraces a brilliant and eclectic family of professional architects and interior designers with offices in New York, Nashville, Atlanta, Palm Beach, and the original corporate office in Montgomery. Bobby’s popular furniture line, McAlpine Home, is available nationwide.
