Join us to celebrate the release of Geraldine Mellet's debut novel. Things I Cannot Say is a wry, clever and ultimately uplifting novel about a young woman, newly paralysed and voiceless, who must find a way to save the day.

Geraldine has a long history as a journalist and advocate for disability rights. In addition to a twenty-five-year career at the ABC, she co-wrote Whose Hand is This about the stroke that changed the lives of nurse Rosalie Leaney and her husband Gordon. Geraldine also worked as an advocate for the Every Australian Counts Campaign to get the NDIS legislated and coordinated and filmed 'The Lives We Lead', a social media campaign showcasing the worklives of West Australians with disability. She can still be heard on ABC radio in her hometown of Perth.

For this launch event, Geraldine will be interviewed by writer, journalist and former ABC broadcaster Gillian O'Shaughnessy.
