GERALDTON INFORMATION SESSION: YOUTH SECTOR GRANTS SCHEME

About the program:

The Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia (YACWA) introduces the Youth Sector Grants Scheme supported by Lotterywest, which has emerged as part of a sector-wide response to the issues facing young people in the wake of COVID-19.

Funding between $2,000 - $10,000 (from a pool of $350,000) is available to support the overall well-being of young people through adding value to existing projects, leading to larger impact.

The program focuses on building the resilience and capacity of youth services, with a priority on increasing their organisational capacity, reinvigorating interrupted programs, deepening youth engagement and improving mental health and wellbeing outcomes for young people (aged 10 - 25 years) in Western Australia.

Grants are open from 30 August - 11 October, 2021.

Info sessions:

YACWA recognises that experience with grant writing can be inaccessible to under-resourced collectives. Specifically, we are conscious of the additional administrative load for regionally-based groups and/or groups delivering projects with regional components.

As part of our commitment to offer an inclusive and supportive program, YACWA will be running three regional information sessions in the following locations:

Albany | Monday 13 Sep at 11am: City of Albany Library

Geraldton | Wednesday 15 Sep at 11am: Geraldton Multipurpose Centre

Kalgoorlie | Monday 20 Sep at 11am: TBA

The intention of the information sessions is to facilitate a collaborative learning environment, while discussing how to structure your application.

If you are new to grant writing, would like an opportunity to learn about what other projects are happening in your region, or would like to be more involved with what YACWA does, then this could be for you.

Light morning tea will be provided.

Please note: Attendance is per event and via registration only.
