Get Crafty!

You know what pairs well? Craft Beer + Garden Crafts. Get Crafty! at 1921, a Biergarten, grab a local craft beverage and join us for free crafting every second Wednesday from 5-7pm. 

Get Crafty! is rooted in the museum’s decade-long experience of working with hundreds of local small-scale manufacturers and the entrepreneurial legacy of the Chr. Heurich Brewery, and the craftspeople and artisans who built the Heurich mansion. Learn more about our urban manufacturing incubator.

2025 Get Crafty! Dates: April 9th, May 14th, June 11th, July 9th, September 10th, and October 8th.

1921 is a biergarten in our Castle Garden that serves a rotating list of fresh local craft beer from DC breweries and beer brands, craft cocktails and wine from the area’s best beverage producers, and Senate Beer, the museum’s historic revival with Right Proper Brewing Company. The biergarten bar sits inside HOME/BREWED, an exhibit in the carriage house featuring 1,000 objects from the Heurich brewery.
