Join us for “Get Crafty!: Re-Visioning the American Dream” on Wednesday, April 22, from 5-7 pm, in the Heurich House Museum’s biergarten! Cut, paste, and redefine the American Dream through your own lens as we look ahead to America 250.

Create your own vision board using a curated mix of magazines, album covers, and found images designed to help you explore what that dream looks like to you. This program will kick off our upcoming summer series, A [New] American Dream, curated by Philippa Pham Hughes. (Stay tuned for more details soon!)

Details:

We’ll provide all the materials you’ll need—magazines, boards, scissors, glue, and tape. All ages are welcome.
RSVP encouraged, but not required.
Participants are encouraged to bring magazines to share (and lighten your spring cleaning pile). Sip on local craft beverages from the museum’s biergarten, 1921, while you work.

About Get Crafty!

Get Crafty! is rooted in the museum’s decade-long experience of working with hundreds of local small-scale manufacturers and the entrepreneurial legacy of the Chr. Heurich Brewery, and the craftspeople and artisans who built the Heurich mansion. Learn more about our Urban Manufacturing Incubator.

Stay tuned for more of our monthly Get Crafty! Programs! Follow us on Instagram or join our email list so you don’t miss the announcement.

About 1921 Biergarten:
1921 is a biergarten in our Castle Garden that serves a rotating list of fresh local craft beer from DC breweries and beer brands, craft cocktails and wine from the area’s best beverage producers, and Senate Beer, the museum’s historic revival with Right Proper Brewing Company. The biergarten bar sits inside HOME/BREWED, an exhibit in the carriage house featuring 1,000 objects from the Heurich brewery.
