Get it together: Our density destiny
Event description
As Australia’s most sprawling city, we know something about having A LOT OF SPACE. But research shows, endless expansion is not the best way for communities and individuals to thrive. We love to get together; vibrancy, innovation and happiness come from personal, human connections. It’s how we manage these in our current societal, economic, and health context which is the subject of this conversation. Hear from Jeremy McLeod of award winning Breathe Architecture (behind the exemplar multi-res Nightingale projects), Kate Fitzgerald of Whispering Smith (architects of sustainable housing examples including the House A project), Fiona Plaisted from ‘joy and hope’ driven WOWOWA (who deliver seriously playful architecture) and Kellie McGivern of Hesperia (the innovative developers behind hospitality projects such as the State Buildings).
