Join internationally published author, Barry Nicholls, for this introductory session on writing memoir. Getting started is the hardest thing, and this workshop will help you identify your through line (the element that binds the story together), have a go at writing family history and begin to incorporate your through line into your story.

Ahead of the session, Barry would like you to think of a six-word memoir that encapsulates your main idea. For Barry, it’s 'Playing cricket was easier than life.' Barry Nicholls is an internationally published author who has written ten books including two memoirs.He has also written biography, non-fiction narrative and panoramic history.He was a broadcaster on the ABC for 18 years and a school teacher for 16.
