Join us for an engaging Science Week session with Dr Harriet Mills, Science Program Leader at Perth Zoo, on conservation breeding programs for iconic Western Australian species.
This includes how they breed numbats, western swamp turtles, Margaret River hairy marron and frogs.
Designed for all ages, you can learn how breeding programs help animal species survive and grow in this fun, informative session. Dr Mills will also highlight current research collaborations between Perth Zoo and local universities.
As a terrestrial ecologist with a strong background in zoological research, fauna management, and animal ethics, Dr Mills holds decades of experience in teaching and research. With over 20 years of teaching experience at UWA and ECU, she's supervised more than 50 postgraduate projects and led an award-winning Work Integrated Learning program.
