Thu, 5 Jun, 8:45am - 3pm AEST

Event description

Come and learn the latest, best practice methods for weed control and removal with Paul Melehan, Upper Hunter Local Landcare Coordinator.  We will be providing the tools, demonstrations and you will get the chance to practice yourself.  We are focusing on weeds of riparian areas which can be extra challenging to manage. Also learn some key weed hygiene techniques to minimise weeds getting to and spreading across your site. Brush up on some weed ID and your knowledge of the priority weeds for the Hunter region during the day.

Please wear the following PPE: Long-sleeved shirt, long pants, sunhat, sunscreen, gloves (optional, we have some you can borrow), eye protection (if you have it), boots/enclosed shoes suitable for uneven ground. Please bring a camping chair if you have one.

Please arrive by 8.45am for a 9am start.  The event runs until 3pm.

Lunch and Morning Tea are provided.  Please supply any special dietary needs in the booking form.

The location will be Tarinpa Park, off Aberdeen Street, Muswellbrook (near Pet Medical).  Further details will be provided by e-mail to those booked in, prior to the day. There are public toilets on site.

Please register by 4pm, Friday 30th May for catering purposes.
