Description

Event description:

Most people with a work Copilot licence use it for one or two things. Finding an email, maybe a quick summary. The rest of what they're paying for sits there untouched. This workshop is about the rest.

It's not a getting-started session and not a feature tour app by app. Over three hours you'll follow one realistic working day and watch Copilot carry it the whole way through. You're back from two weeks leave: 150 emails, a budget meeting you've missed the context on, and a report and slide deck due tomorrow. You'll:

  • Triage and prioritise the inbox

  • Prep for the meeting in Outlook

  • Interrogate a budget in Excel

  • Pull the numbers into a Word report

  • Turn that report into a PowerPoint deck

One piece of work moving across the Microsoft tools you already have open, the way it happens on a real Monday. You'll also build a simple Copilot agent, the kind that answers "how do I apply for leave" from your own staff handbook, so nobody has to dig through SharePoint for it.

Who it's for

People who already have a Microsoft Copilot licence, usually through their employer, and want to get more out of it. If you've been poking at Copilot and can tell there's more there than you're reaching, this is for you. It doesn't matter what your role is; the examples are built around everyday office work.

Not for complete beginners, and not for people already using Copilot heavily across every app.

What to bring

A laptop with your work Copilot licence signed in, so you can follow along. We'll send a few files to download beforehand. Curious but don't have a licence yet? You're welcome to come and watch.

Your facilitator

Chelcie Phillips is a Digital Workplace Consultant at First Focus, where she delivers Microsoft 365 training. She trains organisations on Copilot every week, so the session is built on the questions real teams actually ask.
