Getting Off Gas: All-Electric Homes and Solar, EVs, and Batteries
Event description
Getting off gas and going all electric is the goal to help Australia make the energy transition. But how will your appliances fit into the renewable energy sources and storage you already use at home, or might want to use in the future?Â
We hope you will join us for the third instalment of our getting off gas event series as we support homeowners on their journey to ditch gas. For this session we will explore how solar panels, EV's, and batteries interact with the all-electric home, and what to consider before making the leap to go all electric or purchase new appliances or renewable technologies. Â
Joining the panel discussion will be Anthony Broese van Groenou, Co-founder, Director, and CSO at the Good Car Company, Catalina Villaro Dixon, Solar & Business Manager at the Yarra Energy Foundation, and Jenny Paradiso, ,Managing Director of solar and battery storage company Suntrix. The panel will be convened by Dr Rachel Goldlust, Getting Off Gas toolkit lead and sustainability researcher here at Renew.  Â
We will have plenty of opportunity to answer audience questions. If you have one already, you can submit your question when checking out.Â
We are so grateful to our Getting Off Gas Toolkit sponsors: Pure Electric (Gold Sponsor), Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (Silver Sponsor), Be Energy Efficient (Bronze Sponsor), HIP V.
