Fri, 20 Nov, 10am - 4pm AEDT

Description

Australia’s regional communities are in the middle of profound economic upheaval - being asked to navigate profound changes, often driven by forces beyond their control. Local communities are doing extraordinary work to adapt and reshape their economies - but here's the uncomfortable question: should they have to?

Join us and a diverse group of researchers, practitioners, and thinkers, for a one-day workshop Think Table exploring how communities can be better supported to navigate economic change, the role and limits of place-based approaches, where responsibility for change sits, and what is needed to drive meaningful systemic change.

Who will attend
Academics and researchers, regional and community development practitioners, economic policy researchers, place-based practitioners, and those working on economic change.

What to bring
Your perspective, your questions, and your willingness to engage constructively.
