GGA x AAGI Experimental Design
Event description
As part of GGA's four-part professional development program for research and project officers, this bespoke workshop is designed to enhance participants' research skills through hands-on exercises and expert guidance. It offers a rare opportunity for attendees to refine their research questions, structure treatments effectively, and implement best practices for trial protocols and data management.
Thanks to the generous donation of their time and expertise, members of the GGA network will have the unique opportunity to learn from industry-leading researchers, including Adam Sparks, Dr Barbara Kachigunda and Rose Megirian.

Agenda
9:30 – Arrive, coffee/tea
10:00 – 12:30: Refining your research question: what’s the question, why, and how with small-plot and OFE trial hands-on example exercises.
12:30 – 13:30: Lunch (included)
13:30 – 14:15: Ensuring your treatments support the research question: what’s your treatment structure, levels, and how do they relate to the research question?
14:15 – 15:00: Trial protocols and data best practices: ensuring all the steps of work are clearly defined to maximize benefit and minimize potential risks, including best practices for data collection, entry (if not collected electronically), storage, and backup.
