Join us for an afternoon of community, culture, connection and fun! We have professional and renowned Ghanaian musicians and dancers coming to the Northern beaches for this special one off offering!
1.5hr African Dance workshop
1.5hr African Drumming workshop
All levels, ages and backgrounds welcome! This is about coming together and sharing the incredible benefits of these traditional dances, rhythms and songs.

ARTIST BIOS:
All our artists are from Ghana in West Africa, specifically the "Ga" tribe.
Tuza Afutu is an African Master Drummer (someone who has given their whole life to mastering the art of African drumming). Tuza is a spectacular performer, passionate teacher and an expert in traditional West African music. He is the Creative Director of the company African Beat. www.africanbeat.com.au
Lucky Lartey is a Sydney-based dancer and choreographer at the forefront of exploring intercultural dance practices as part of the contemporary dance space in Australia. Lucky’s dance and choreographic work draws on a rich history of traditional rhythm and dance whilst engaging with contemporary movement practices and contemporary art forms. www.luckylartey.com.au
Ezekiel Bortei started his music career at the young age of 10, becoming part of the Junior Salaka Ensemble. His musical talents brought him to Australia in 2013 where he has been performing and touring since, conveying the richness of African music and dance with his vibrant energy and huge smile.
