One for the heads here...
Ghost Media x Lower Frequencies present: NEED FOR MIRRORS (V Recordings/Souped Up/31 Recordings)
A night of drum n bass in an intimate setting @ The Champagneria
Powered by Further Sound
With support from GROOMY b2b DALLY, ORDER UP, UNWELL & YOUNG GHO$T.
We are excited to welcome back the legendary NEED FOR MIRRORS for his second Ghost Media excursion, and this time we've brought a few friends along to make it an unforgettable night, including some of the capital's most sought after DnB producers and a mega soundsystem with some serious rumble.
Producer, DJ and Soul In Motion founder Need For Mirrors – AKA Joe Moses – deals in music strictly for the club. Challenging typical formulas and conventional boundaries with nothing but the dance in mind, Joe paints a sonic tapestry covering every chapter of the night. The peaks. The troughs. The dark. The light. The stories that unfold.Known for his prolific output, over the years Need For Mirrors' music has been released by many established and notable labels ranging from RAM to Souped Up via V, Soul In Motion Records, Zoltar and Klute’s Commercial Suicide where he released his well-received debut album ‘Swim’ in 2018 & 31 Recordings where he released his 2nd album ‘Flames’ in 2020. His DJ sets are comprised with nothing but new, unreleased D&B from some of the top producers in the game. Most of which won’t be released for years, if ever.Beyond releases and performances, Joe is an integral figure within the drum & bass scene as owner of Soul In Motion. Soul In Motion is a brand born from the genre’s old tradition of mid-weekly club nights. Now also comprising a label, Soul In Motion celebrates and pays tribute to drum & bass and its underground culture. His vision and aesthetic can be found coded deep in all Soul In Motion operations: its imagery, visuals, line-ups, unique locations and the label which, naturally, deals in music strictly for the club. Expect nothing less.
On support, we have Lower Frequencies alumni GROOMY and DALLY opening up proceedings with some smooth liquid, followed by UNWELL, who will be pushing cutting edge sounds from around the periphery of the genre. The night will be closed up by local legends ORDER UP, who have been smashing it with their productions as of late, carving out their own niche in the minimal DNB genre, and we have YOUNG GHO$T keeping the microphone blessed all night with his signature brand of upfront witty lyricism. Talk about stacked!
Capacity is strictly limited to 100 tickets - if you're about your deep, rolling drum n bass then don't miss this one!
