GhostLight Theatre presents "A MisCaSt CaBaRet"
Event description
What Is A Miscast Cabaret?
Miscast Cabaret is a one-night event featuring some of GhostLight's favorite performers singing songs from roles they are unlikely to ever be cast in (due to gender, race, age, voice type, or other variable).
Changing the roles can alter the dynamic or meaning of a song, which creates a new perspective for the audience. The results are sometimes thought-provoking, other times hilarious. Maybe you’ll see a female Gaston or a male Eliza Hamilton. A Caucasian person singing Breathe from In the Heights or a near-adult singing Naughty from Matilda. Join us for this entertaining mix-up of some of your favorite Broadway songs.
