Gig For Gaza
Event description
A bunch of Canberra musicians and artists are coming together to show solidarity and support with Palestine with a GIG FOR GAZA at the Polo.
We'll have a truly stacked (and genre-agnostic) lineup of local acts; visual artists selling works for the cause; and we hear pretty solid rumours of a barbie happening outside.
All ticket proceeds and funds raised are going to Palestinian Australian New Zealand Medical Association (PANZMA) to provide medical resources for Palestinians in Gaza.
Tiered pay-what-you-choose ticketing: $45/$35/$25
Can't come to the event but wanna contribute? We're offering a pay-it-forward option at checkout where you can buy a ticket for a stranger!

PALESTINIAN AUSTRALIAN NEW ZEALAND MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
PANZMA’s mission is to provide immediate medical relief to Palestinians living in Gaza and the West Bank, to establish and support programs, education and training that foster the future of Palestinian health care. PANZMA’s current Gaza appeal is helping facilities in Gaza have immediate access to the medical resources they urgently require. More info: https://www.panzma.org/
DOG NAME
Dog Name is a three-piece from indie rock band from Ngunnawal/Ngambri country. Sweet vocal harmonies and an even sweeter Instagram page where they seem to have named at least one person's over DM.
BABYFREEZE
Babyfreeze play electroclash for the post-empire age. One of many projects from certified ACT Darlings (tm) Nick Delatovic and Luke McGrath.
BRASS KNUCKLE BRASS BAND
BKBB is a sweaty street funk party for anyone who knows a sousaphone is cooler than a bass guitar. Think whiskey dripping from trombone spit-valves; think drummers with callouses on their callouses. Think a bari sax belting at Bourbon St from the wrong hemisphere and you're getting the idea.
AT LAST: BROADCAST
At last: Broadcast are too cool to have bio I could find online. They sound loud and great though.
KILROY
Stalwarts of the Canberra scene since 2016, Kilroy combine guitars that sing, keen and snarl, thunderous rhythms and dry lyricism into a driving post-punk sound that tempers clear-eyed aggression with a dose of new-wave romanticism.
LIAM O'CONNELL
Guitarist and songwriter Liam O'Connell will be playing a selection of his own songs from a 23-year catalogue including works used by Agency Dub, 3oB, Organic Intellect, Sweet Lowdowns, Good Gosh, Miney Moe and Guns of Dickson.
