Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wellington for a relaxing morning or afternoon at the Gillies Family Garden Tour and art talk in their garden of national significance.
The Gillies Family garden has been developed over the last 25 years. It is set in New Zealand native bush surrounding a Chapman Taylor Cottage in the heart of Silverstream, Upper Hutt.
The garden consists of 10 small gardens such as: A bush garden, Water garden, Topiary garden, Courtyard garden, Parterre vegetable garden, Herb garden etc.
Enjoy the talk about their New Zealand contemporary art collection which has been collected for over 50 yrs.
An afternoon tea will be provided on Saturday 9th November and a morning tea will be provided on Sunday 10th November.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wellington is a free youth mentoring programme for tamariki aged 6 to 12 years old where they are matched based on the interests, hobbies and location with a volunteer mentor.
