Join us on Thursday 20 August at Ginsights for an inspiring evening of conversation with acclaimed Pakistani-Australian author Mehreen Arshi.

Mehreen's writing explores the complexities of the human experience—family, memory, migration, love, duty, and identity. Drawing on her background in research and scientific writing, she brings depth, insight, and compassion to stories that resonate long after the final page.

In conversation with Ginsights, Mehreen will discuss her acclaimed debut novel, I Carry Your Heart, a moving exploration of love, family, Pakistani culture, and the courage it takes to challenge expectations and forge your own path. She will also offer an exclusive preview of her next novel, a manuscript that was highly commended for the Varuna Residential Fellowship at the National Writers' House.

Passionate about cultural representation and amplifying voices too often overlooked, Mehreen's commitment to storytelling extends beyond the page. She is an active community advocate, volunteering with VolunteeringACT to support vulnerable community members and mentoring emerging leaders through Fearless Women.

The evening will feature a lively moderated Q&A followed by the opportunity to meet Mehreen, enjoy a cocktail, and continue the conversation in a relaxed setting. Copies of the newly revised edition of I Carry Your Heart will be available to purchase and have personally signed by the author.
