Girl Asleep by Matthew Whittet
Description
Cabra Dominican College Year 10/11 Drama warmly invites you to our production of Girl Asleep, a quirky and imaginative coming-of-age play that explores friendship, identity and the challenges of growing up.
Girl Asleep follows Greta, a teenage girl on the edge of adulthood, as she navigates the awkwardness of adolescence, changing friendships and the pressure to fit in she has to be courageous enough to allow her song to be heard. When her 15th birthday party takes an unexpected turn, Greta is drawn into a strange and surreal adventure that blurs the line between dreams and reality. Through humour, fantasy and moments of emotional depth, the play explores the journey of discovering who you are and finding where you belong.
Join us for an entertaining and thought-provoking theatrical experience that celebrates the confusing, funny and sometimes frightening journey of growing up. Let the record skip.
