About this event:
Join us as Girl Gains ventures onto the trails and we invite you to come along! Collaborating with our UCLA, CSUN, and USC Chapters, we're planning a hike social filled with positive energy, fun giveaways, and the opportunity to connect with like-minded fitness lovers IRL! After completing the hike, we'll conclude with a social hour, offering the opportunity to journal, play games, and celebrate our accomplishment together. We welcome all fitness levels; our focus is on embracing wellness and having fun together. This event is completely free for everyone in the area. Come hang out with us!
About Girl Gains:
Girl Gains is a female weightlifting club present virtually and on 100 college campuses. We celebrate lifting for strength, moving our bodies out of self-love, and lifting up other women.
The itinerary:
9:45 AM-10:00 AM Check in: meet at the start of the trail, grab your name tags, and get familiar with your group!
10:00 AM-11:30 AM (tentatively) Hike & enjoy the views, mingling among your group members
11:30 AM-12:30 PM Social hour
What to bring:

✅ Journal + something to write with (if you are staying for social hour)
What to wear:

✅ Sunglasses/hat
✅ Breathable activewear
✅ Sunscreen
Hike details:
This is a very popular area for hiking and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail has a moderately steep ascent for the first 1.5 miles before leveling out.This is a great hike with excellent views of the Hollywood sign.
Where to Park:
Canyon has a parking lot, sidewalks, trash cans, and facilities for visitors. Parking is limited and fills up quickly at Griffith Park. Arriving early is recommended.
Total Hiking Distance: 2 Miles (one-way)/ 4 Miles Round-Trip
Where to meet: Picnic Area right across from parking lot.
