Presenting our first ever Girls Torque in NZ. Be entertained by some of Te Whanganui-a-Tara's finest wāhine DJs.

Girls Torque began in London in 2004 at the legendary Fridge in Brixton. A time when putting wāhine behind the decks was still a statement. Two decades on, the scene has transformed. The talent is undeniable, the ranks are deep, and the dancefloor belongs to everyone. We're bringing that spirit home to Aotearoa.

This lineup includes names woven into the fabric of the scene. Beyond the decks, you'll find them as DJ tutors, promoters, and event organisers, where they give back as much as they bring to the dancefloor.

• M.Cap is the founder of 'Nine Oh Nine' who facilitate girls & Femmes only DJ workshops.

• Fortuna is the founder of 'Fortunes' known for their deep/prog/melodic house & techno events.

• Malware is the Co-founder of Venom Events who focus on Techno events here in Pōneke.

• Claire-voyant is one of the founders of Torque Sounds and the original Girls Torque event back in London.

• Fluffcore is the Co-founder of TGF known for their dark techno events.

Our kaupapa is simple: manaakitanga on the dancefloor. Girls Torque is open to all, celebrating all. Come and kanikani to your hearts content, respect and look out for each other.
