Modern life can overwhelm girls with unrealistic beauty standards; with pressure to compare, compete, and be ‘nice’; and with an expectation to not take up too much space. Youth surveys reveal a staggering 90% to 95% of teenagers express some degree of negative body image or appearance-related anxiety. Evidence shows that Social media platforms heavily reinforce these anxieties.

Through facilitated discussions, experiential processes, skills to take home and a rites of passage ritual, Growing Together is designed to:

Support girls and their mothers or female caregivers in navigating harmful cultural messages
Develop healthy relationships and boundaries
Empower girls to trust their bodies, think for themselves, and strengthen their confidence
Give girls the experience of a group ritual at an important threshold in their lives
