The team at Children's Autism Foundation presents "Give Me A CLUE - Understanding PDA in kids on the Autism Spectrum", a 2‐hour workshop interactive workshop for parents & whanau and any professionals who engage with children and young people on the Autism Spectrum. You will leave this workshop with a better understanding of PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) in children on the Autism Spectrum and with simple & practical strategies to support your child or the children you work with.
Topics include:
- What is PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance)?
- How to build trust and self-confidence in children to enable them to cope more flexibly with the demands of everyday life.
- Practical strategies & a PDA "toolkit" to help manage PDA in children & young people.
This workshop is free for families/whanau/caregivers. $50 for professionals.
