    Event description

Welcome to the All Saints Anglican School’s 2024 Giveathon donation page! This year, we are once again excited to come together as a community to make a profound impact on the lives of others, culminating in a whole school assembly on the last day of Term 3, Thursday 12 September.

    ABOUT GIVEATHON

In 2001, the beloved former chaplain of All Saints, Father Ainsley Haldane, established Giveathon to celebrate our school’s ‘birthday’ by blessing others. Father Ainsley’s vision was simple yet profound: to harness the collective generosity of our community and channel it towards meaningful causes. Since its inception, we have raised over $1,200,000, transforming countless lives both here and abroad.

Giveathon was created to unite various fundraising efforts into one cohesive event, supported by smaller events throughout the year. This approach not only streamlines financial administration and legal requirements but also amplifies the impact of our collective efforts.

    WHY GIVEATHON MATTERS

At All Saints, we are blessed with an abundance of resources and a community with enormous hearts. Our compassion and commitment to helping others are central to who we are. We strive to ease the plight of those in need, both locally and globally. With approximately 40,000 to 50,000 registered charities in Australia, we are dedicated to doing our part to support millions of people across various needs and causes.

    2024 CHARITIES

Each year, members of our community nominate charities that resonate with our values and mission. For 2024, we are proud to support:

    • Starlight Children's Foundation: Bringing joy and hope to seriously ill children.
    • ReachOut: Providing vital mental health support for young people.
    • Enriching Lives Foundation: Enhancing the quality of life for those with disabilities.
    • Lomanikaya Village Restoration in Fiji: Rebuilding and restoring a village devastated by natural disasters.

    BETTER TOGETHER

The Saints Outreach Services (SOS) student committee, tasked with promoting Giveathon, has chosen the theme ‘Better Together’ for this year. This theme encapsulates our belief that when we come together, we can achieve extraordinary things. By working hand in hand, we can create a ripple effect of positive change that reaches far and wide.

    HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED

The 2024 Giveathon is not just about giving; it’s about coming together as a community to make a real difference. One of the most powerful ways you can contribute is by sharing our donation page with your family, neighbours, and friends. By doing so, you can help spread the word and maximise our impact.

    1. Donate and Share: Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Talk to your parents, siblings, and friends about the Giveathon. Share the donation page link through emails, social media, or even by writing a note to your neighbors. Explain why the Giveathon is important to you and how their support can make a huge difference.
    2. Sponsorships for Jobs: You can also raise donations by doing sponsored jobs around the house or in your neighbourhood. Offer to:
      o Mow lawns
      o Wash cars
      o Babysit
      o Walk pets
      o Help with household chores

In return for your hard work, ask for donations to support the Giveathon. It’s a wonderful way to show your commitment and get others involved in our mission of helping those in need.

    3. Get Creative: Think of fun and creative ways to encourage donations. Organise a small bake sale, a car wash or a garage sale with friends. Every little bit helps, and these activities can be a great way to bring people together for a good cause.

Together, we can continue Father Ainsley’s legacy of kindness and compassion, supporting those who need it most. Let’s show the world the power of the All Saints spirit.

    Together, we are unstoppable!
