GiveGlobal Adelaide: Final Dinner & Giving Vote
Description
Good food. Good conversation. Better giving.
Join GiveGlobal Adelaide for our inaugural final dinner as we come together to choose which effective global charity to support in 2026.
Tuesday 10 November | 6–8 pm
Inparrila, 161 Frome Street, Adelaide
Tickets: $20, including dinner and drinks
GiveGlobal Adelaide is a local giving circle exploring evidence-backed charities working to reduce global poverty effectively.
Over the past few months, we've been learning about ten shortlisted charities working across global health, education and poverty reduction. Now it's time to make our first collective giving decision.
What to expect
Finger-food dinner, drinks and an opportunity to meet other Adelaide locals interested in making a difference.
A look at the ten shortlisted charities and the evidence behind their work.
Discussion about where our donations could achieve the greatest impact.
A final vote by GiveGlobal members to select the charity we'll support this year.
Dress: Neat casual
Everyone is welcome
Whether you've attended a previous GiveGlobal event, already pledged to become a member, or are simply curious, we'd love to see you there.
There's no need to know anything about global development or charity evaluation beforehand. And there's no obligation to become a member or donate.
For those who choose to join the giving circle, membership involves a minimum $200 donation towards the selected charity. Friends or partners can share a membership and one vote. We've chosen this amount to help build a meaningful collective donation, while recognising that everyone's capacity to give is different. Members vote on the final decision, with each vote carrying equal weight regardless of donation size.
Members will make their donations separately on the evening, following the vote. The $20 dinner ticket is not part of that donation.
Come along, ask questions, meet some thoughtful people and help us finish our first year well.

No. Everyone is welcome, and there is no obligation to become a member or donate.
- What does the $20 ticket include?
Admission, finger food and drinks throughout the evening.
- What is the $200 membership donation?
GiveGlobal members commit to donating at least $200 to the charity selected by the group. We've chosen this amount to help build a meaningful collective donation, while recognising that everyone's capacity to give is different.
The donation is separate from the $20 dinner ticket and will be made after the final vote. Membership is entirely optional, and everyone is welcome to attend and take part in the discussion.
- Who gets to vote?
Members who have made a giving pledge can vote. Every member has one equal vote, regardless of donation amount. Couples/small groups may also choose to share a vote.
- How is the charity selected?
Members vote from ten charities shortlisted during the year. The charity receiving the most votes will be selected for our 2026 giving.
- Can I decide to join on the night?
Yes. You can come along, hear about the charities and then decide whether you'd like to become a member and participate in the vote.
- How will I make my donation?
Donation instructions will be provided on the night after the charity is selected, with an online payment option wherever possible.
- Is the charitable donation tax-deductible?
Donations will be made through an eligible Australian tax-deductible pathway, with the applicable arrangements confirmed for the chosen charity. The $20 dinner ticket is not a charitable donation receipt (this year).
- Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Newcomers and solo attendees are very welcome.
- Do I need to prepare anything?
No. An interest in thoughtful giving is plenty. We'll introduce the charities and explain the process on the night.
