    Event highest intention:

May you make peace with the past, awaken to what's here now, and open your heart to what is ahead.

Hear from Venerable Tony, resident Buddhist teacher at Chenrezig Institute

Ven Tony first made contact with the Buddha-dharma in Nepal and India in 1976 and following ordination as a monk in 1991, he has led retreats and courses at various Buddhist centres throughout the world, as well as teaching in prisons and schools. Ven Tony lived at Chenrezig Institute until recently and we are fortunate that he is onsite at the moment to speak at this special event about gratitude and intention - thank you Venerable Tony!

Be guided by Erin Lee, through gratitude and intentional practices & soak up an incredible soundscape (live music) by Dubarray & Chris Lane

During this event, Erin will guide you through gratitude and intention practices including a devotional, seated/standing mindful movement to a live music soundscape by outstanding musicians Dubarray and Chris Lane!

Held in the Gompa (temple) at Chenrezig Institute

We are so grateful to Geshe Tsultrim for giving us his blessing to hold this event in the very special Gompa (temple) onsite at Chenrezig Institute.

"Gratitude is the fuel that fills the heart and activates the soul."

The way we relate to the events of the past determines the experience we receive now...
This event is an invitation to gather together to see out the end of 2023 with acceptance, forgiveness, compassion and peace - using Gratitude as the portal. You'll be guided to reflect on all that has unfolded this year with gentleness, kindness and a bigger perspective.  This will prepare your mind and heart as fertile ground for planting new, intentional seeds - that will flourish.

    "Energy flows where intention goes."

As we move towards the turn of the year, choosing higher intentions to live by will gift us - and others around us, a more meaningful and purposeful experience of life.

    About Your Event Facilitators:

Erin Lee, Founder of The Mindful Yoga School, Author of The Little Book of Big Intentions

This is Erin's fourth year of hosting this event of reverence. It's an extra special one because the very first Giving Thanks & Planting Karmic Seeds was held at Chenrezig Institute...and now it returns to this same venue! Erin has a special connection with Chenrezig Institute and it's community - you'll find her either teaching yoga in the Wellbeing Centre onsite or learning the dharma in the Gompa (temple) with her teacher Geshe Tsultrim, or quite often drinking the delicious, blessed chai in the Big Love Cafe.

Erin host's this event on behalf of The Mindful Yoga School, and it's an event to give back to the community and to Chenrezig Institute, with all profits being donated to support the wonderful (low-cost) mind and heart trainings on offer to the broader community at the Institute. During this event, Erin will guide you through gratitude and intention practices including a devotional, standing yoga flow to a live music soundscape!
