Glass artist Mark Elliot takes us through the basics of glass blowing and sculpting using an "oxygen-propane" torch

Using both clear and coloured "borosilicate" glass rods and tubes he will demonstrate various techniques to both repair glass objects and create new ones.

The Bower Reuse and Repair Centres is a visionary environmental charity with a bold social mission: to reduce waste, empower communities, and promote sustainable living. We also operate one of Australia’s only reclaimed steel bike frame manufacturing programs, showcasing circular design in action.

In partnership with frontline agencies, we provide essential household goods to those in need, diverting significant volumes from landfill while building skills, resilience, and community.
