Windows are often the most beautiful component of a new build or renovation, as well as the most expensive. They are also crucial when optimising thermal comfort inside your home. In this session we’ll be exploring the essential considerations when selecting windows, as well as hearing a panel discussion and Q&A session with our experts.

Please note that this session will start at 6:30pm (AEDT) and end between 8 - 8:30pm (AEDT), depending on audience questions. The session will be recorded and sent out to registered participants.

Speakers

Harley Truong, Logikhaus Pty Ltd

Harley has qualifications in engineering, science and is a certified Passive House consultant. He has worked as an energy efficiency consultant for residential and commercial projects.

Harley is now a director of Logikhaus, a supplier of passive house windows. Over the last 5 years, the company has contributed products, services and expertise to hundreds of high performance houses. Harley is involved in the selection, detailing and servicing of windows so with the unique blend of theoretical and hands on experience, he has many insights into the world of fenestration.

Russell Harris, Australian Glass and Window Association

With over 20 years industry experience Russell has a thorough understanding of fenestration, including compliance, product design, development, and testing. Russell’s background in R&D means he is familiar with many of the emerging technologies, innovations and market influences that are likely to impact the industry in the future.

Since joining the association in 2016, Russell has been a noteworthy leader in the technical space, and an active contributor to the ongoing development of the Regulatory framework affecting the window industry. He is the technical manager at AGWA.

Dr Rachel Goldlust, Renew

Rachel is working on Renew's Getting Off Gas Toolkit and campaign. She brings experience in environmental education, project management, facilitation and a range of writing, communication and presentation skills. Rachel has worked for community organisations, local governments, universities, and as a research assistant, contractor and consultant across history, planning and natural building. As an academic in the environmental humanities, she continues to research and publish on off-grid lifestyles and choices, alongside sustainable land use and housing.
