Event description

Glebe Greyhounds and Aish Academy have teamed up to provide awesome Youth Footy Skills Sessions for our 12+ players this Summer School Holidays.

Ramp up your training with some dynamic and focused skills sessions at Jubilee Oval. The sessions are 3 hrs long, restricted to players 12 and above and are focused on key skill development and skills execution in simulated game scenarios.

The ultimate goal is to provide a framework for continuous improvement through focused kicking practice as we head into the back half of the 2024 season.

Sessions:

Tues 21 Jan, Weds 22 Jan, Thurs 23 Jan: 9.30am - 12.30pm

We aim to have a dedicated female coach for a girls only group on all days if we have sufficient girls attendance. Feel free to reach out to footycamp@glebejafc.org.au if you need more info.

About Jesse Aish:

Jesse Aish - Jesse is Head Coach at the prestigious Aish Football Academy active in Sydney and SA. Jesse has supported our Glebe Greyhounds Girls Footy program for a couple of years and is supporting our U13s this year. Outside of Glebe, he has helped out with Coaching and Skills Development support for Newtown Swans. Previously he has coached at Norwood (SANFL) as Senior Midfield Coach and at the Sydney Swans Academy. He currently provides private training for players at clubs across the Sydney Harbour competition including for players at Glebe Greyhounds.

Founded in 1980 the Glebe Greyhounds Junior Football Club gives children from 5 to 16 the chance to play Australian Rules Football. Our philosophy is that every player who wants a game gets a game. This means that the club prides itself on ensuring all players are treated equally and that our main priority is a fun, safe and family environment. We value all players and keep a record, published in our yearbook, of every game played and goal scored by every Glebe player ever. On field the Greyhounds have a proud history having won 15 Premierships over the last 27 years and consistently played in finals in most ages. Many of our players have gone on to play at higher levels including representative football, and Sydney Football League. One ex-player currently plays in the AFL while another went on to become one of the leading punters in American College Football. The club is one of the largest in Sydney and plays in the famous black and white strip of Collingwood. Our home ground, Jubilee Oval on the shores of Blackwattle Bay is one of the most beautiful football grounds in Sydney. The rules are modified for younger players to emphasise the skills of Australian Rules football – this means fun, safe and fair games. All our coaches are fully trained and accredited with the Australian Football League.
