Lost Compassion, Found Hope
Event description
There are many things we know are right and good - like equality and the value of every human life, and compassion for the needs and plight of others. But here's the thing - most cultures in human history have not valued these things. Why do we? The surprising answer is that Jesus has played a major role in us valuing these things, and without Jesus we wouldn't. And maybe without Jesus we will lose them.
In these 2 evening events Glen Scrivener will help us see how we came to value compassion. We will understand the reasons for our intuitions. And we will catch a glimpse of Jesus and the extraordinary way he lived and breathed these values.
The evenings will be accessible to people from any background, and will include some musical items and a time of Q and A.
