Glenelg - Junior Carnival - 22nd January

Hello Nipper Parents,
The next junior carnival is January the 22nd at Glenelg SLSC. To help with the organisation of the carnival, and know which children are competing we asking parents / guardians to register nippers. Please note, there is no charge for this carnival.
It takes a lot of resources to run the carnivals, so in addition to registering your nippers we are also asking to provide someone (eg parent, guardian, sibling) from each family to help in some way, whether this is set-up, pack up, officiating, watercover etc. The more people we have helping the more we can split roles up.Â
In addition, we may not need everyone this time round - as we yet to receive our allocations from SLSA.
The volunteer name and role is a mandatory field in the registration process. So if you have an issue where you cannot help, please email juniors@seacliffslsc.com.au
The roles that you can select from are:
> Officials (am/pm) - You don't need any experience and there is plenty of guidance and support on the day. A course will be run on the 18th Jan for anyone who is new to officiating. Officials help with marshaling, time keeping, results, and area management.  Some officials roam with the groups, others stay in dedicated areas.Â
> Water Cover (am/pm)Â - Need to be SRC or Bronze award holder, and you will get wet!
> Working Party set-up - U8-U10s will be competing in the morning, and suggest only relevant for families with nippers in one of those age groups Â
> Working Party pack-up - U11-U13s will be competing in the afternoon, and suggest only relevant for families with nippers in one of those age groups Â
> Trailer unpacking - We need people to come back to the club and help unpack the trailer after the carnival
> Age Group Leaders - Need to hold AGM award
> IRB Driver and Crew - Need to hold current crew / driver awards
> Photographers - Need to hold a Working With Children's Check (WWCC) AND a National Police Check (NPC) - These are verified by SLSSA and only those registered will be provided with media lanyardsÂ
> Coach - Development coach award holderÂ
