• Who is Glitter Gel Pen Book Club?

  Glitter Gel Pen Book Club is a Sydney-based book club and social club for women in their 20s and 30s. We host intentional gatherings across Sydney’s most sought-after wine bars, restaurants, and creative spaces, providing an excuse for like-minded women to slow down and connect offline.

  Our events span book clubs, private screenings, listening parties, and social catch-ups for women looking for more considered ways to spend time in Sydney and connect with like-minded women.

  At our core, we hold a simple belief: content doesn’t need to be heavy or highbrow to be meaningful. We embrace the feminine and the so-called “frivolous”, championing feel-good fiction and lighter forms of leisure, because life is serious enough. We’re here to romanticise it.

• Can I come solo?

  Yes, most of our girlies come solo. Glitter Gel Pen Book Club is designed as a welcoming Sydney book club and social club where it’s easy to meet like-minded women and make new friends. Every event is thoughtfully set up to keep conversation flowing and help you connect naturally, so it never feels awkward. If you’re feeling a little nervous, feel free to DM us, we’ve got you 🤍

• What actually happens on the event day?

  While every Glitter Gel Pen event is a little different, you'll always be welcomed on arrival and invited to settle in wherever feels most comfortable.

  At our book clubs, you'll find all the signature GGP touches waiting at your seat: worksheets, prompt cards, bookmarks, stickers, glitter gel pens, and little creative activities designed to help spark conversation. Everything is completely optional, but they're a great way to ease into the event while you wait for everyone to arrive.

  Our other event formats vary, but we intentionally design every experience with solo attendees in mind. Whether it's an activity, a shared experience, or simply something to sip on while you chat, there's always something to do from the moment you walk in, so you never have to worry about feeling awkward or out of place.

  The vibe is relaxed, welcoming, and a little bit escapist. Think beautiful venues, good food and wine, meaningful conversation, and a room full of like-minded women in their twenties and thirties who are looking to romanticise their lives and make new friends.

• Do you cater to dietary requirements?

  Yes! We always do our best to accommodate dietary needs. Just let us know when booking.

• What does my ticket include?

  Ticket prices vary by venue, but we always aim to keep our events accessible and genuinely great value.

  Your ticket typically covers your food, wine, GGP touches, curated goodie bags and all the behind-the-scenes organising and admin costs.

  Most importantly, it gives you a few wholesome hours of connection, conversation, and escapism.

  Let’s be real, being a girl who loves dining out, collecting books, and maintaining a social life in Sydney isn’t cheap. That’s why we run GGP for the community, not for profit.
