Glitter Gel Pen Book Club

Welcome to Glitter Gel Pen Book Club, a Sydney meet-up for like-minded girlies who want to romanticise their lives, read sugary romance novels, and yap about them IRL. We’re here for the “frivolous” feel-good fiction, creating a space to unapologetically enjoy and discuss books beyond the 19th-century literary canon. So if you’re craving a little escapism and love a rom-com with your rosé in an aesthetic setting, consider this your new favourite cal invite.

Event Details

For October book club, we’re taking things eighteen floors above Sydney over two 90-minute seatings:

SESSION ONE: 6-7:30 pm

SESSION TWO: 8:15-9:45 pm

GGP is gathering at Kiln, Ace Hotel Sydney’s rooftop restaurant, for an intimate evening overlooking the city.

We will be leaning into daylight saving season, with floor-to-ceiling windows, golden-hour views, wine on arrival and a long table of like-minded women ready to unpack Lost Lambs by Madeline Cash.

Your evening includes:

• A set menu from the Kiln kitchen, with a glass of wine on arrival. All dietary requirements catered for.

• Everything you’ve come to know and love from a GGP book club: bespoke discussion notes, glitter gel pens, stickers, DIY bookmarks and a curated goodies waiting at your seat.

• Access to our private GGP community group chat, plus first access to future events before they’re released publicly.

We’re embracing spooky season and inviting our guests to dress in a touch of Halloween style. Think lace, velvet, sheer details, vintage-inspired jewellery, celestial accents or even an all-black look ✩

This meet-up is part of our supper club stream of Glitter Gel Pen Book Club, designed to slow down, romanticise your life, and get to know like-minded girls while we talk books (and just about everything else). There’ll be worksheets and prompt cards to guide conversation, but the evening is intentionally relaxed and unstructured. Most of our guests come solo, and it’s one of the easiest ways to make friends in Sydney! We’ve taken care of the vibes, the details, and the venue; all that’s left for you to do is arrive and enjoy.
