    Event description

RedR Australia’s "Global Humanitarian Challenge" provides a full day insight into the everyday challenges faced by humanitarian workers when responding to global humanitarian crises.

What is it really like to work overseas in a humanitarian emergency? What kind of situations, tasks and obstacles might you face? Would you and your team be up for the challenge?

RedR Australia's Global Humanitarian Challenge is designed for both teams and individuals who want to get a taste of life as a humanitarian aid worker. You'll be guided by experienced humanitarian professionals as you learn about and experience the reality of responding to crises around the world.

Come prepared for a hands-on, practical and challenging day, that may just be the first step in your humanitarian journey.

    Who is this course for?

The Global Humanitarian Challenge is suitable for people of all backgrounds and skills.

If you are a technical specialist or an engineer with a keenness to utilize your skills to benefit others, this course will give you a deeper understanding of humanitarian foundations, coordination mechanisms and emerging issues and trends.

You will also have the chance to network with a wide range of different people and learn more from their professional journeys.

The course is in English and you need to have a reasonable proficiency of the English language.

Morning and afternoon tea, and lunch will be provided.
