Glossies Workshop & Field Walk
Event description
The morning's action will start at 8.00am at the MRL Nursery with a presentation by Kim Morris from Bushland Conservation Management. Kim started the Glossy Black Cockatoo Conservation project in 2022, focused on nesting ecology utilising bioacoustic technology.
The Bushland Conservation Management team travel across the Noosa and Sunshine Coast regions from early in the breeding season monitoring activity of the Glossy Black Cockatoo.
Following Kim's presentation, we will have morning tea, before travelling to the nearby Landsborough end of the Dularcha NP Tunnel Track for a bird walk (hoping to find some evidence of Glossy activity).
We aim to finish about 11.30am.
