    Event description

GLOW Fest is a circus arts and lifestyle gathering held in the stunning beachside location of Crescent Head on the mid north coast of NSW. It returns to Waves Campground for its third year, 17 - 21 August.

More than just another flow festival, GLOW Fest's program is absolutely brimming with artsy goodness, from morning to night. Here just a few of the things we have planned at this year's event:

    Thursday night:
Welcome to Country by our friends from the Dunghatti mob
Opening Night GLOW Party - Bring your favourite LED toy or light-up costume, and dance into the night with our resident DJs

    Friday:
    All day workshops
Feature Fire Performance & fire-spinning circle
    Open mic jam space

    Saturday:
    All day workshops
    Headliner Showcase & fire-spinning circle

    Sunday:
    All day workshops
    Closing ceremony
    Open (Renegade) Show
Closing Night Silent Disco - Unleash your newfound flow tricks & dancefloor moves as we forget time (and permits) exist with our annual dance-with-your-headphones-on party! Featuring tunes from our resident DJs

GLOW Fest's workshops go deeper than your average festival, expanding from flow & circus arts to professional development, performance skills, live art and visual arts & crafts. Get up a little early to treat your body to our tailored body conditioning & stretching classes. Even earlier, and you could catch a gorgeous sunrise at the famous Delicate Nobby beach - directly opposite Waves Campground.

GLOW Fest values inclusivity & participation. In 2023, tickets remain at affordable prices in return for 1 x 2-hour volunteer shift from each attendee - promoting a sense of community and collaboration in creating this wonderful space. Attendees that prefer to relax and take time out can simply purchase a Play Pass to surpass this requirement.

GLOW Fest is a drug and alcohol-free event, and welcomes people of all ages, from hobbyist to pro.
The GLOW Fest ethos is Community * Participation * Respect * Consent * Reduce, Reuse, Recycle *

    *

GLOW Fest launched in March 2021 and featured a main stage art bus installation, fire art displays and live art alongside its daily program of workshops and performances.

As it turned out, the March event was perfectly nestled between what ended up being massively disruptive outbreaks of Covid along the East Coast. People travelled from all over Australia to reconnect with community and to meet new people, learn new skills and open themselves to new artistic experiences.

Some feedback from our previous attendees:
"I was smiling the entire time"
"GLOW Fest opened the door to the magical land of circus life for me"
"A wonderfully supportive and encouraging environment"
“One of the greatest experiences of my life!"
"Beautiful ethos, great intimate size, beautiful location"

So the question is now... Are you ready to GLOW??

The organisers of GLOW Fest acknowledge that this event is being held on the traditional lands of the Dunghutti people, and we pay our respects to Elders both past, present and future. We recognise the past atrocities against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this land and that Australia was founded on the genocide and dispossession of First Nations people.

Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
