Chicago Flow Communities Present... GLOW JAM!
An evening of movement expression, live music and connection with our communities.
Join @FlowCollectiveChicago, @FlowChicago_ and @ChicagoFlowstar for a blacklight/GLOW JAM celebration of movement.
We're saying GOODBYE to Chicago Winter and welcoming beautiful Spring time with bright colors and GLOWY features. What is a flow jam you may ask... it is an open skill share of movement expression and opportunity to connect with fellow flow arts enthusiasts in our community. If you've been yearning to connect with people who LOVE flow arts, this event is for you! Our theme is GLOW, wear attire that is UV reactive along with UV and LED props! We’ll be offering black light body paint as an extra element of GLOW!

Forever Flow
Both of our vendors are active community members and are doing amazing work for the collective. GLOW JAM will be your opportunity to try their products/flow props LIVE. It is truly the best time to invest in sparkly new props before festival season takes off! Visit their shop links!
We recommend bringing your own flow props.* Please be mindful of asking others for consent to use their flow toys or wanting a demo of how to do a certain trick or movement. As always, be mindful of others as you flow!
*If you do not own props or are just getting started in your flow journey, we will provide a few flow props to borrow!
Need a break from flowing? Craft away at our Kandi making station. If you’re feeling called to bring Kandi beads to share, we thank you in advance!
Community Note: This is an alcohol-free event. Bring your water bottle. There are water fountains on site as well as a complimentary snack table and NA beverages. We encourage a substance free space for authentic and raw connection in community. As always, we recognize our space as PLUR - peace, love, unity and respect. If you see something, say something. Please find community leads, Paulina, Morgan and Taylor if you need support or assistance in any way.

FAQs
- This is my first jam, what should I bring?
Flow props, ear plugs, hydration, Kandi or trinkets to trade, positivity!
- I don’t have props. Will you have some to borrow?
Yes! We’ll have a dedicated table for community props! Please return all props back to us for future jams!
- Can I utilize the rigged Lyra hoop?
Absolutely! The community Lyra will be rigged and ready for use. Everyone who wants to fly is required to sign a waiver! Please only attempt movements that you’re confident in! If you’re brand new, find Paulina for a safety demo!
- I’m having a tough season and need support for entry. Who do I contact?
