The Greenermind Summit is back for our 13th year!
Join us May 15-17, 2026 in Cazadero, CA.

ABOUT

🌿 Hosted in the Russian River redwood forest, just 90 miles north of San Francisco, Greenermind is one part summer camp, one part collective exploration, one part restorative retreat and one part choose-your-own-adventure - produced by a passionate community you’re invited to join.

Our days offer a blend of structured activities and open time to relax, explore, and connect. Experiences include:

  • Group meals

  • Participant-crafted conversations

  • Campfire songs

  • Costumes and dance parties

  • Group games

  • Solo reflection and mindfulness

  • Napping in the redwoods by the creek

  • And whatever else you’d like to bring to the event

The entire experience is participant-driven. You’re invited to host a workshop, lead an activity, or share something you love.

🌿 You’ll meet fun, curious, mission-driven people from many walks of life—entrepreneurs, educators, designers, artists, scientists, parents, activists, and change-makers. Job titles fade away here. This is a space to unplug, breathe fresh air, laugh a lot, and build meaningful relationships around what matters to you.

🌿 The 2026 summit takes place in the redwoods at a semi-rustic camp in Sonoma County, featuring a dining hall, lodge, indoor bathrooms, tent decks and dorms, a creek, a pool, and a beautiful amphitheater with a stage.

🌿 All meals are included from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch (6 meals), and are served buffet-style in the dining hall, with accommodations for many dietary needs.

🌿 We welcome kids and families, with childcare for children ages 3 to 12. Parents benefit from child care staff to help both adults and kids get the most out of their days.

🌿 There’s no wrong way to do Greenermind - whether you attend every activity or none at all, wander the forest solo, dive into deep conversations, or join spontaneous dance parties. The summit is a flexible container designed to support what you need in each moment.

If you're looking to meet people with shared values, get fresh perspectives on ideas you've been exploring, or unplug for a weekend in nature - join us.

KIDS

KIDS ARE WELCOME AT GREENERMIND!

⭐ We offer childcare during the day for children ages 3 to 12, led by two experienced childcare providers. In the evenings, parents work together to care for children.

Visit our website where you'll find details on activities, safety, planning, and more.

⭐ Kids’ tickets are offered at a subsidized price, and helps cover the cost of lodging, meals, and our paid childcare staff. Because we have a limited number of spots for children, we encourage families to register early.

⭐ Children under three: If there is enough interest, we may be able to offer childcare for younger children. If this would be helpful for your family, please let us know when you register so we can gauge interest, or email us at info@greenermindsummit.com.

VENUE & LODGING

We’re fortunate to gather at Camp Cazadero, a nonprofit camp nestled in the redwoods. The camp hosts many music programs throughout the year, making it a perfect setting for Greenermind. There are quiet spaces for conversations and workshops, places to relax by the creek, and peaceful corners to read or reflect.

The camp also features a beautiful amphitheater for performances and a large deck under the trees for dancing.

Accommodations

🌿 Most participants stay in shared tent cabins (2–4 people). We’ll do our best to match you with cabin mates who have similar sleep schedule preferences.

🌿 There is also a space for car or tent camping if you prefer to bring your own setup.

You can learn more on their website.

AGENDA

We'll arrive Friday afternoon and depart Sunday after lunch. Each day balances structure and openness, seriousness and fun, action and reflection.

The summit agenda is designed based on your input and contributions which means there will be participant-led workshops, games, small-group discussions, campfires, costume parties, and playful activities. A more detailed schedule will be shared in the weeks leading up to the event.

As a volunteer-run gathering, Greenermind relies on everyone pitching in. During the weekend, participants can sign up for short on-site volunteer shifts to help support the event.

DRAFT SCHEDULE JUST ANNOUNCED...

NEW THIS YEAR...

🌿🎶 Eco-Soul Brothas Songwriting Workshop & Live Performance 🎸

This year, Greenermind's Saturday night gets an extra dose of soul.

We're welcoming the Eco-Soul Brothas — part of the Bay Area's beloved Radioactives band — for an unforgettable evening of music and co-creation on May 16th.

The Eco Soul Brothas are songwriter/guitarist Michael Roberts and vocalist Will Hammond Jr. They make original, soulful music and videos designed to educate and inspire people about healing the Earth — from celebrating native plants and pollinators to sparking joy-driven climate action.

  • Songwriting workshop — As part of GMS’s daytime programming, Mike & Will will lead an interactive songwriting workshop on developing climate-related, funky songs. Hands-on, participatory, no experience needed.

  • Live acoustic/electric set — A groovy, soulful performance that flows straight into a dance party. In Camp Cazadero's beautiful amphitheater, nestled in the redwoods and under the stars. ✨

It's the Greenermind spirit in musical form: participant-driven, purpose-filled, and a lot of fun!

FAQs

  • What will happen each day at the summit?

Each day is a balance of structure and openness, serious and fun, action and reflection. There are participant-led workshops, games, small-group discussions, campfires, costume parties, and playful activities.

  • Who should come?

The conference is geared towards active professionals and general awesome humans who are passionate about having a positive social and/or environmental impact. The sessions will be active and collaborative -- and everyone will get to contribute. Most people come solo, and there are some couples that attend together. We are committed to making our event accessible to parents; we welcome children of all ages. Please see below for more information on the kids track.

  • What topics will be covered?

It depends on the mix of attendees, but expect the topics to be wide-ranging. The summit began with a strong emphasis on the leadership, business, and design aspects of making the world a better place. However, every year is different, and we've been very happy to have change-makers from all sectors come and cross-pollinate.

  • Should my company pay for it?

The event is driven by the interests and passions of the attendees. If you are interested and passionate about your work, then yes. The Summit will be a great place for you to refine your ideas, further your projects, and meet great people who could become collaborators. Especially if you work in the social or environmental impact space and/or as a convenor or facilitator, this could be a professional development opportunity.

  • How many folks will be there?

We anticipate anywhere between 60 and 100 attendees.

  • What if I'm new to the community?

Welcome!  Typically about 50% of Summit attendees are new, and about 50% are returning.  We have lots of small-group activities to help you meet and get to know your fellow attendees, to help you feel right at home. There will be a get-to-know-you event for new attendees about a week before the summit.

  • When does it start and end?

Arrival and programming will begin on Friday after lunch. People setting up arrive earlier - let us know if you would like to help set up the event!. This is a great chance to get to know folks early. We need to leave the camp on Sunday afternoon by 2pm.

  • What if I can't come Friday?

If you need to arrive Saturday morning please let us know. We strongly encourage you to attend on Friday. The event is all about taking time out from the daily grind to get new inspiration, ideas, and energy to contribute to your personal and professional growth. Being present for the full event will allow you to have a more meaningful experience and create deeper connection with the community of people who will be there.

  • How do I get there? Will there be a carpool?

We set up a carpool spreadsheet; the drive there is a great way to meet new friends. The link will be sent to you with your registration information.

  • What's the lodging like?

We'll be staying in rustic wood cabins without heating or air conditioning. The cabins have beds but you'll need to bring your own bedding or sleeping bag. You'll have cabin-mates, and you can request who to stay with (and other cabin preferences, such as noise tolerance) when you register.

  • What's covered in the cost of the ticket?

Lodging from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, 6 catered meals, and all programming.

  • Will I need to volunteer on site?

Yes; everyone volunteers for one shift during the event; when you arrive, you choose what you are interested in helping with. Also, everyone pitches in to pick up after themselves and keep the space clean.

  • How can I contribute? Do I have to contribute?

This is a community-created event, so there are lots of ways to contribute; the first step is to email us your idea at info@greenermindsummit.com.  You can lead a workshop or activity, suggest a self organized session, sing or play guitar around the campfire, share a talent in our Saturday night variety show, create an art piece, or just show up and connect with people.  The whole event runs on inspiration, so you don't "have" to do anything.  The best gift you can offer yourself is to connect deeply with what YOU are inspired to do, whether that's dive into activities or sit quietly under the redwoods.  There's space for both (and much more) at the Greenermind Summit.

  • What are we eating? What if I have dietary restrictions?

The food is always de-li-cious!   All meals are included from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch (6 meals), and are served buffet-style in the dining hall, with accommodations for many dietary needs. You'll have the chance to share your dietary restrictions when you sign up, and you can also email us at info@greenermindsummit.com, with any questions or concerns.

  • Can I bring my own food?

Feel free to bring your favorite drinks and shelf-stable snacks. Refrigerator space will be very limited and will be reserved for people with significant dietary restrictions.  Consider bringing a cooler for drinks and non-shelf stable snacks for yourself and your kids.

  • What about alcohol?

We will not be providing libations, but you are very welcome to bring your own!

  • What stuff should I bring?

We'll send you an Attendee Info Guide as we get closer to the event. This guide will list everything you need to know before coming, including what to bring, but most importantly are a sleeping bag and pillow!

  • Can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately, the Cazadero Camp does not allow pets. Contact us with questions about service animals at info@greenermindsummit.com.

  • Is the event family friendly?

Yes! We have a Kids Track with childcare for the little ones (ages 3 and up), along with subsidized tickets for children. We will have childcare handled onsite for most of the conference. Please see the Kids page for more information, and if you have additional questions, email info@greenermindsummit.com.

  • Is there cell phone reception or internet access?

There is no cell phone reception (and we're excited about that). There is no internet onsite, but there is internet access across the street at Raymond’s bakery.  In case of emergencies, you are encouraged to share the camp office phone number (707) 632-5159.

  • Who is organizing this event?

The Greenermind community is 100% volunteer run, and everyone contributes financially to participate in the Summit.  We are primarily based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and we also have community members throughout Northern California.

  • Why is it called "Greenermind"?

Our name reflects our passion for creating impact, our connection with others in nature, and a sense of looking toward the future. Over the years we have expanded the amount of programming on connection, growth and impact across sectors.  Today, any mission-driven professional will find like-minded changemakers to bond with at the Summit.

  • Can I help?

Yes! If you're interested in becoming a part of our fun-loving, high-impact group of volunteers, please contact us at info@greenermindsummit.com.
