Empowering women on International Women's Day 2024, in their health and wellness through the practice of yoga and meditation. As a gentle start to the 2024 BOLD Festival this yoga practice will include traditional hatha yoga poses, meditation, and breathing practices. It will bring a softening to the mind, body, and soul through a gentle flow that slows the nervous system, and increases flexibility and mobility to the whole body. Bringing women into harmony and deep rest with themselves.
Please BYO yoga mat and any props you might use and meet in the CMAG foyer.
Liz Wensing is a Health and Wellness Coach, Yoga Instructor, Feminine Embodiment Practitioner and Exercise and Movement Coach. Liz has spent more than a decade working and studying in the field of health and wellness in various ways. From performing arts and personal training/gym instructor to administration and public health policy, immersing in somatic arts and embodiment practice and becoming a mamma, her life has been rich with a variety of learning experiences. She brings perspectives from both Western and Eastern philosophy, appreciating the rigours of Western science and the ancient traditions of yoga and meditation from India. Whether she is teaching yoga, personal training or working 1:1 with a client, her work incorporates both grounded practical skills and somatic, embodiment practices with the goal of guiding that person to a better understanding of themselves and how they thrive in life.
