Your Facilitators

Margaret de Kam, currently serving as the President of Friends of Darbin Creek, is not only an experienced workshop facilitator but also a dedicated Goddess woman and environmental activist. For over a decade, she has immersed herself in Goddess events and conferences, growing her wisdom and deepening her understanding of the natural world in the company of like-minded friends. Margaret actively contributes to environmental preservation along Darebin Creek, engaging in hands-on tasks like planting, weeding, and rubbish removal, while also playing a crucial role in overseeing the allocation of public funds for the creek's care by environmental scientists.

TJ (Tanja) Milbourne is an environmental activist and dedicated Gaia Temple guardian with a focus on decolonizing work and recognizing the intersections of patriarchy, capitalism, and colonialism in our current destructive socio-economic systems. They firmly believe in Earth as a living organism and advocate that humans are not separate or superior beings. Drawing inspiration from indigenous cultures, they believe in humanity's inherent role as caretakers rather than exploiters. Tanja is also an artist and photographer. Their artworks are influenced by the interconnectedness of nature and explore themes of identity and belonging. Through their work, they champion the message that our true essence lies in profound interconnectedness with the environment.

Jennifer Cameron, an accomplished historian, writer, and devoted environmental advocate, channels her activism towards women's rights and the rights of Great Mother Nature. She has devoted much of her life to understanding the experience of women through the ages, particularly in prehistory and through the Goddess Spirituality. Throughout her diverse career as a teacher, trainer, government policy writer, and consultant for the not-for-profit sector, Jennifer's passion for environmental causes has remained steadfast. She currently holds the position of Co-Convenor at the Gaia Temple in Melbourne, which has as central to it’s values that ‘Earth is Sacred - We see the whole Earth as sacred, as is each of the parts.’
