For so many of us just being near the coast gives us a feeling of complete joy and wonder.

And if you're like me, so much that you're moved to express it in paint as a means of connection for yourself and perhaps, for others.

Is this you too? If so, then this workshop is for you!

Whether you're a novice or someone with more experience, I'll meet you where you're at and we'll enjoy two full days diving deep into what it takes to create an oil painting with a coastal theme that gives us joy and satisfaction.

Over the two days we'll look at everything from go to whoa to produce a painting of your own.

I will be demonstrating and sharing tips, tricks and insights from my own art practise, as well as exercises to further enhance learning.

In particular, as a professional artist I'm passionate about safe studio practise and creating paintings that will stand the test of time.

I focus my teaching on best practise and there is absolutely no need for oil painting to be the smelly, turpsy experience of the past!

Developing good habits has the added benefit of making your art journey so much more enjoyable and also lead to higher satisfaction.

So come along and join me as I demonstrate the 'how', explain the 'why' and assist you to make your own beautiful painting.

By the end of our time together you will have a solid foundation to work from and, it is my hope that you will be inspired to continue with your own explorations in paint of our amazingly beautiful coastal landscape.

What's included... A 30 x 40cm Canvas (primed and toned, ready to go), reference photo, easels, handout with key information, morning and afternoon tea.

What to Bring... Paint supplies - a materials list will be given on registration and you are also welcome to bring your own fav colours. Bring your own lunch or cafes and shops are nearby.
