going through the hard - album launch

Join Sophie Nishizawa for her debut album launch at Vacant Assembly. Supported by Kaya Tominaga, with special guests Sean Thompson (saxophone) and Takako Haggarty (koto).

'going through the hard' is an album of grief, home, love and resistance - in a time that demands of us our steadfastness. Creating ethereal folk soundscapes mixed with field recordings from both her hometown in japan and on Yuggera, Turrbal, Jinibara and Quandamooka country.
