Going Postal & 90th Celebration (30th Oct)
Description
Brisbane Arts Theatre celebrates 90 years!
Join us on 30 October for our 90th Celebration Cocktail Function, from 6pm–9pm, as we celebrate 90 years of Brisbane Arts Theatre.
Enjoy an evening of canapés, drinks and celebrations before the curtain rises at 8pm. Guests attending the show will make their way in for the performance at 8pm, with all canapés served before the show. Guests attending the cocktail function only are welcome to stay and continue enjoying drinks and the celebrations until 9pm.
The evening also features Moist Von Lipwig, a charismatic conman who is caught for his crimes and sentenced to death by hanging. And he is hanged — or so he thought.
Redemption comes in the form of the new Postmaster position at the run-down Ankh-Morpork Post Office. His efforts to restore it to its former glory are helped (or hindered) by a number of quirky characters, including the ancient, the obsessed, the equally cunning, the undead, clay sentient beings — and he even finds love along the way.
