Gold Coast Changemaker Challenge Showcase Event with Young Change Agents

The Gold Coast Changemaker Challenge is a collaboration between Southern Cross University and Young Change Agents aimed to provide real world practical problems for young people to explore and develop solutions for. Funded by Study Gold Coast the program has been delivered at 4 local Gold Coast schools who’ll be showcasing their ideas at this event.

Join us for the pitch event as we hear from 8 student teams from participating schools: Merrimac State High School, Pacific Pines State High School, Miami State High School and Palm Beach Currumbin State High School. 

Each of the teams have taken part in a 1 day Discovery program with Young Change Agents to explore problems and use a design thinking framework to develop and test solutions using a social enterprise lens.

Two teams from each school have been selected to pitch their ideas at this event. We invite fellow students, parents, friends and family to join the event as well as industry guests, mentors and supporters of young people here on the Gold Coast.

The event will be held at Southern Cross University Gold Coast Campus and there is parking available for guests. The lecture room is called C1.05/C1.06 and is located straight through the entrance of Building C (see map below).

Please note that COVID-safe measures will be in place for this event. Please only attend the event if you are feeling well and not exhibiting any symptoms of covid-19.
