What to expect
Virtual production is the future of filmmaking, and on Friday 3 July Chrysaor Studios is opening the doors to public for the first time to show you why.
The Gold Coast Virtual Production Showcase brings the screen industry together in one room: including content creators, producers, art directors, crew, creatives and established filmmakers, all to experience Chrysaor Studios, the Gold Coast's newly established and Australia's first Social Traders certified social enterprise film studio.
Experience for yourself, Queensland's only permanent open-access virtual production stage, now commercially operational. You'll see first hand how a pre-visualisation sequence is built, and watch a virtual travel and simulation sequence created live in real time on the Animax LED volume.
The interactive demonstration is powered by our on-site virtual production partners: Animax Studios, TLD and ProxiVP. Together they run the LED volume, the camera tracking and the real-time Unreal Engine pipeline, and they'll be on the floor to walk you through exactly how it all comes together.
What to expect on the afternoon:
1. An interactive virtual production demonstration on the Animax LED volume, with real-time virtual environments built in Unreal Engine 5, including a virtual travel and simulation sequence running on the stage.
2. Direct, hands-on access to the VP stage and the partners operating it: Animax Studios, TLD and ProxiVP.
3. Networking with the Gold Coast and Brisbane screen industry.
4. A local food truck and welcome drink courtesy of Wild Flower Gin.
5. After event drinks continue next door at Wild Flower Gin Distillery.
Getting here:
Chrysaor Studios, 492 Scottsdale Drive, Varsity Lakes. Parking is available on site and on the surrounding streets. There's a bus stop right out the front, and Varsity Lakes train station is close by.
