Event description

Welcome to GOOD TRIP! Join us at our first event on Thursday 30th March 2023 at Sub Club.

GOOD TRIP is designed for audiences that experience sensory overload, social anxiety and difficulties with access and safety in music and nightlife venues. We aim to create events that are primarily for our neurodivergent LGBTIQ+ community.

There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to access and how music is presented to audiences. The music you can expect at GOOD TRIP is unrestricted by gender, genre and BPM but all our DJs prepare their sets with neurodivergent access in mind.

What you can expect for access

GOOD TRIP is a low-sensory club night primarily for people who identify as neurodivergent. We recommend arriving on-time at 8pm, to allow for a more relaxed experience as the music will ebb and flow but will increase with energy as the night moves forward. We will release a more detailed access guide via our Instagram and a direct email to all ticket holders.

The venue is wheelchair accessible with an alternative entrance and there is a private accessible bathroom. GOOD TRIP will be providing sound protection for those with sensitive hearing, through over-ear headphones and inner-ear plugs. We will have a quieter breakout space and will provide stimming toys, drawing pads and stationery, cushions and blankets. There will be signage in large print. We will not be using strobe lighting. Our event will not be Auslan interpreted or provide captioning or tactile tours/signage.
