    Event description

Join us for this end of year ritual: walking barefoot on the beach and enjoying the positive mental health benefits of walking.

Every year we head to Henley Beach to walk barefoot on the beach - earthing in the sand and allowing the ocean to carry away what no longer serves us and reaffirms all the positivity and gratitude we wish to take into the New Year.

Many find being by the ocean the perfect remedy to soothe, heal and reflect. We also know that walking offers not just physical health benefits but mental health benefits too!

Join us for this once a year FREE community event.

    All are welcome!

Join us for a cuppa and breakfast (BYO or purchase from local cafes) on the lawns by Henley Square.

Gear you will need: bag or backpack to carry water bottle, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, personal meds such as puffers etc. Walking shoes are not required for this walk - though you might need shoes to wear to and from the beach. You may wish to take a dip after the walk if it is hot - bring swimwear and towel if keen.

Our walks are all about CONNECTION - not a personal training session. We connect with nature, eachother and ourselves. We ensure all walkers are included in the experience and we have leaders attending with first aid kits and leadership qualifications.

You will be asked to carry an ICE Form (in case of emergency) with contact details of next of kin and any pertinent medical information that allows our leaders to support you and your health should unexpected care been needed. This will be emailed the week leading up to the event. We will have spare forms if you cannot print off, please arrive 10 minutes earlier to complete and have your next of kin contact details ready.

If the weather forecast is for extreme weather/thunderstorms or a catastrophic fire ban is issued, this walk will be cancelled the day before.

If you have any questions, you can call Lisa Murphy with any questions on 0418 802 361 or Ian Murphy 0488 083 337.

Children are welcome as long they are accompanied by a supervising adult - please check with us if unsure.

Thankyou for signing up to this special annual walking event!
